Breakthrough in the war: Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar eliminated

Exactly one year after Hamas carried out the largest massacre on Jews since the Holocaust, news broke out on the first day of Sukkoth that their murderous leader, Yahya Sinwar, had been eliminated.

As the story unfolded in the late afternoon, the details were as surprising as they were joyful.  Unlike the special forces involved in the elimination of other arch terrorists like Ismail Haniya, Mohammed Def and Hassan Nasrallah, Yahya Sinwar met his fate when 18-year old new recruits – enlisted only in August – entered a building to clear it of terrorists after an Israeli tank had fired at it.

To the utter astonishment of these rookies, the young soldiers found Sinwar dead in a chair with rubble all around.  He had a head wound in the exact same spot where Israeli surgeons had removed cancer when he was in prison.

This is a pivotal point in the war which has given much joy to Israelis and determination to reshape a better Middle East. More importantly, it is a crucial stage where we can bring our hostages back home.
