No rockets but tulips!

Two teams of volunteers from the Netherlands are handing out thousands of tulip bulbs in Israel on behalf of Dutch Christians. A sign of friendship and support!

Southern Israel has been in the grip of violence. Terror from Gaza increased: rockets land on villages and cities (resulting in many casualties), fire balloons destroy thousands of acres of farmland.

In the northern part of Israel it is not quiet either. At the border with Syria you almost constantly hear and see the violence, and the border with Lebanon is often the ‘scene’ of violence and threat.

Especially at the places were not many visitors come, we want to encourage and comfort the people with tulips. In a few months’ time these tulips will blossom as a reminder of their friends in the Netherlands!
